    Quick,

    What about tower speakers? You might as well do it all at the same time...believe me you're going to want them..

      That was my next question. I don't want to spend too much and have my wife kill me. I was thinking about just getting Wet sounds pro 60's for this year, and adding something to compliment them next year. What amp should I get to power these? Thanks!

        I used a Kicker 550.2 but it does not allow for expansion. But you have to determine if your tower going to be raised and lowered a lot!. Speakers get darn heavy on towers especially when it is raised and lowered a lot.

          1lab makes a good point. You could go with a 2chnl, and sell it when you add more speakers later, or, go with a 4chnl now, that would allow you to expand latter. The pro of this route is you will not have to upgrade power wire and circuit breaker at the time of upgrade, but you could also go with power wire now, that would be right for the future expansion.

            Well then, clearly you need more speakers and tell your CFO that it's part of your exercise regimen.

              So, the 550.2 would be the way to go for those tower speakers?

                Great choice for one pair of 60's or 80's, but no room to add a 2nd pair of tower speakers.

                  So is it easier to just get a 4 channel now? then if I add more they would just be plug and play basically? What 4 ch amp should I be looking at if I were to go this route?

                    Get a two channel amp that would be 2 ohm stable, then it could handle the second pair of speakers.

                      ZX850.4 = 175W x 4 @ 4ohm. Good match for 2 pair of Pro60's or a Double up (60's and MB8's)

                          Difference between PRO 60's and 80's?? For $100 should I step up to the 80's?

                            Pro 80s are much louder. You'll need a bigger amp

                                200 watts rms to each speaker per the WS site for the Pro 80s
                                Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
