A easy question for you stereo gurus. I am buying a sub and 4 channel amp for my 07 20v. The sub will go under the driver dash so I think its only a matter of cuttin the hole. Can the amp be hooked up in the same area as I was told that is where Tige puts the hookups for the amp.Does the amp boost the power to the headunit/other speakers also or does that depend how you hook it up? I have put in car stereos just not sure if boat ones operate the same and want to make sure it is done right. I know some of the questions are basic so feel free to throw some digs at me but I really appreciate the advice from the experts.By the way the sub and amp are both clarions to match the HU.

2nd, You can put the amp any where you feel like, but the driver's console is a B!TCH to work in, so I would put it where the factory does and that is on the inside of the walk-through wall, in the passenger storage console.
3rd, I doubt you will find any power, ground, or signal cables pre-wired for your additional amp, but you will find a + & - for the sub taped up in the harness in both storage areas. This I why it's easier to install the amp in the pass storage area, otherwise, you would have to remove the bow seat backs to run the signal cable from the H/U around the bow to the amp in the driver's storage.
4th what size sub are you installing? Tige has a perforated cut-out under the carpet for a 10' sub in the driver's bulkhead wall already. This makes cutting the hole easy, just have to find the slots.
5th, The amp takes the signal from the head unit and "boosts" it going out to the speakers.
Post up what you looking at installing and we will help you get it set up correctly.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
