Don't be so sure about that......

Coach has 5 for this threesome and 15" sub

I want to add a third and my system it's no match to yours...

But it also depends on if you are going to play you stereo all day on the beach...

Good call. I'll give the 2 batteries a whirl and see how they do and maybe add a third. Considering I also want to add a light bar.

It's all about how much anchor time you want. If you find the 1 deep cycle is not cutting it, adding a 2nd deep is easy.

I run 3 Oddessy 2150's for the stereo and I have what ever came with the boat as my starting battery. I will run my system all day and it can last a weekend but I find it hard to get a good full charge back on my system unless I pull my boat each night.

Your boat, like mine, came with 1 "starter" and one "deep cycle house" battery separated by an Isolator. I added a 2nd deep cycle house battery so I get more tune time.

With out knowing the specs on the battery, I'll take a guess and say about 1.5 hrs @ 3/4 volume. With accurate info, we can calculate this very close.

Keep in mind when I ask this that I have not yet physically looked at the dual battery system yet(boat is still at the dealer) so I may not realize the ease of it, BUT how do you go about adding the additional deep cycle battery. Is it just a matter of hooking up the two batteries or is there additional equip?

If you already have the EIDB duel battery option from Tige, It's as easy as wiring the 2nd deepcycle in parallel to the original deepcycle.

Scratch that Q, I just searched and found your thread on that very same thing. Thanks.

I assume you are on a private lake or go to powell etc as light bars are worthless in Colorado as it is illegal to ski at night.

As my comment earlier that started this whole battery chat - I agree with the others if you are looking to run that system (multiple amps) with any decent about of anchor time you will need more batteries.

But like you said you can always try it and then take it back to Corey and have him modify it for ya.

Yes, it would be for out of state lakes like powell.

chpthril, would you recommend just beefing up the orignal deep cyle battery and not adding a second. Like a Kinetik?

You could, just do a cost comparison. The Kinetics are about $350 or something. For just over $100, I added a 2nd deepcycle and got about the the same play time. I had not heard of Kinetics last year when I did my upgrade though, so it would have been a consideration.
