I looked at the tx6004. That amp is a monster in size. They were out of stock when I was looking and I was told the 2 channel ZRS would work fine for me. I also did not want to run an extra set of speaker wires.

Cadence has the TX6004 back in stock for $179, free shipping and 2 year warranty

Got the 5100 on Friday nite. It looks pretty good. No fuses on the amp but comes with a 60 amp external fuse and holder. Did not get to the boat as a bunch of honey doo's came up. Hopefully next weekend.

I might just get the 6004 as a back up plan if I do not like the 2 channel zrs

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

...wife just busted me with it too It sticks out like a sore thumb it's soo big
I had it hid in the laundry room w/ my speakers and stuff--I knew I was gettin' an earful when I turned my head and saw her holding it

"What is this?? blah blah blah..."

Is it going to fit in the 20V storage area. When I had my 20V I had 2 clarion amps and it seemed to take up a lot of room?

I actually almost bid on that one you won. I had to put a brake on spending as it was getting out of hand. I am going to start liquidating old toys seadoo, quad, guns and my rc stuff. No time to use any more

The box it comes in is gigantic. Saw a picture of one that a guy got on a car forum.

Not entirely sure if it will fit or not
I'll make that darn thing fit! I can get my wakeboard in there so I would imagine I can squeeze it in there. It's probably about 6" shorter than my board.

So I did not mount the amps last weekend but I did get all the tower speakers wired. I hooked up the power, ground, speakers to the new amp. Turned the gain just a little bit and played some music.

I will not be the loudest person on the lake but I think the MB-8s are a good compliment to my type of listening. They were loud enough to get my wife to come outside as she was watching a movie inside the house. I should have kept the second pair of Pro 60's . I am very pleased so far.

I made some amp mounts like chpthril. Hopefully in April I will get it all finished, amps mounted, new seat base, additional bilge pump and move the ballast drain pumps behind the battery wall,

Boat mods are for you, (and the wife???) and nobody else. Sounds like things are working out as planned. Keep it going.......and going.

Look great. Have you thought at all about cooling them? Mine got hot a couple times last summer and shut down for a couple minutes.

Not yet. We will see how we do this year. We are using that compartment alot more for storage since I went to the 2 surfsacs. Have not had a problem with the old stuff but then it was pretty wimpy compared to these.

hopefully Next weekend will get the ballast drain pumps behind the battery walls, remove the check valves from the rear fill lines, add an air vent on the manifold I built for future expansion(dumb idea) and install the new seat base if it comes in and then I should be ready for the season
