I cant believe, well I can, that someone would wire an amp that way
Wire too small to the amplifier? Nobody ever does that. No way....
I used to have a saying back in the day, when mobile audio was in its infancy: "We are trying to make a living selling Beavis and B u t t h e a d technoloy that belongs on the Space Shuttle"
I recall going to the parking lot to trouble shoot a system that had little wires twised together coming out of the harness in the dash, amp laying in the front seat... Not even any electrical tape to cover the exposed twisted-together leads... Dude could not figure out why his stereo would not kick, thump, bang, or hammer....
If it can be thought up in someones mind, chances are some idiot has already done it...
Billy, the Oxy-Clean pichman:
"Lamp cord, not just for lamps anymore!!!!"
So all the speakers are in and wires run. Just need to hook them all up now. Still not sure if I like where the second sub is. Once I buy a new camera I'll take some picks. A project for next weekend. I hope to show it off to the subdivision next weekend Would be this weekend but I'm off to Canada snowboarding!!!

You got two of the SKM10's right?
Where did you put them?
It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....
Yes I did. 1 is under the helm and the other in the port v-drive compartment with the batteries.
You may find that the location to port is a good location once you have some time on the water, with folks hanging out and sitting on the sunpad there... IT is a good location; you will find that out when you fire it up the first time.
You still might consider finding a way to create a vent path to let some of the sound out of the compartment though...

I was looking into that last night too. There is a cup holder right above it that I might cut the bottom out of. Either that or I think I can get a vent in that will come out the side of the seat.
I had to move the batteries around to make it fit in there, but its not too bad. I was trying for under the port side seats, but it was just a bit too big for the compartment.

Well, all but the tower speakers are hooked up. Wire is run for the tower, just no speakers up there yet. Partly because I had to replace the top section on the Monster Tower today and rerun the wire. There are wires everywhere so I have to spend tomorrow making everything pretty. I played around with the tuning a little bit, sounds pretty good I think. I just don't want to be inside that compartment any more!!! I think I need a chiropractor!!
