BTW, make sure you make sure that you find out how well the H/U controls the iPod. I really like mine because I can change play lists, change modes (i.e., playlist, artist, genres, etc.), change songs, turn on shuffle mode, etc. They usually list these things in the technical specs.

I have 3 Kenwood Amps on my head unit. I use the fader to shift volume from the tower speakers to my boat speakers. The nice thing about my Kenwood amps is that I can daisychain the amp for the boat speakers and the amp for the sub from the same line-out on the H/U.

And when you get HU, IPod interface, wiring, amps, 6 main deck spearkers, tower speakers, subwoofer,etc. then you sink a small amount more of cash with 4 separate vol controls: Bow, Main, Tower, Sub, plus a sub enclosure (all a must ), link:

I've got 6 (factory installed) cabins also.
2 in the bow
2 in the port side main cabin (1 below cooler by cupholders, 1 below corner seat by cupholders)
