I got new tower speakers!

That has to be the ugliest amplifier I have ever seen. It looks just like the helm on the USS Enterprise in the old Star Trek series, with all of the multicolored buttons, knobs and switches. 'Liutenant U'hura, please open all hailing frequencies!'

You're just jealous that your amps don't have dilithium crystals!

The top is all chrome, they actually shipped white gloves to install it.

2 big boxes came today!



Here's what I did first: I hooked up just one Tyrant and left the other Addiction on. Then I did head to head challenge while changing sound from the left to right speaker.

To make a long story short...This is how I feel right now:

The Tyrant has a sound quality that is tremendous! With both speakers on, the Addiction could be heard, but was clearly being overwhelmed by big brother. There seemed to be a better midrange on the Tyrant, and even the higher range seemed a little sharper to me.

Keep in mind that I have the gains turned down because the Addiction is listed at 250 Watts. I have the gains set about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up, so I am probably pushing them a little harder...but I am not sure the gain knob has a linear response. My amp will pull 500 Watts once I turn the gains up...so Watch out!

I do not see that on your website yet. What are you going to be charging for it?

I have never heard of anyone with an EQ or line driver say it did not improve their system.

Do you have any innovations on how it might be mounted? RIght now, one potential problem is that almost anywhere I put it, is going to be either hard to reach or in the way, or hard to see. This item will very much interest me on my next boat.

Yeah, I haven't put it on the site yet. i am waiting until we get close to shipping it. It will lsit for $349 for the set up with the microphone included.

I am making the front panel so that you can mount it by cutting a hole and sliding it in, so there will be a small lip around the front. EQ's in boats are really hard and I am dealing with the same thing in my RZ4.
