.75 is on the smallish side... Sounds kinda "one-note-ey" doesn't it?

See about working on a larger box. Shoot for 1.25 roughly gross, which should net you roughly 1.15 net, or near that...

      Keep us posted!
I'd like to get in on this post. You may recall Phil on a PM, plus a couple of other post, [or you may not], I had to rewire my dual voice coil Sub - 400W 12" Kicker CVR subwoofer. You (plus I think spharis, had some excellent advice]. I needed to add a sub sealed enclosure later. This winter is the time. 400W max yes, but I am driving it with a bridged Kicker ZX650.4 output - rated around 325W RMS at 4 ohm.

Recommendations for the sealed enclosure for this sub?

I will play with some math and look at owner's manual, but in the meantime, refresh my memory; is the woofer dual 2-ohm or dual 4-ohm? I do not recall...
        It's not an optical illusion.
        It just looks like one.....

I even went and looked at threads a little... do you know where it is?

                  hah foud it!!!!

                  dual 2-ohm...

Uh, oh, Houston, we may have a problem... NO, no problem, found the final diagram, we are only looking at half of the amp for the sub...

Okay, for a sealed CVR 12 I think you are going to be pretty darned pleased with an enclosure that is somewhere between 1.25 and 1.75 cu. ft. I would shoot for the middle and go for 1.5 cu ft. That will be a good compromise between power handling and low end extension; it will work fine with the power available...

Ran some calculations. So for 1.5 cu ft, a couple of examples of panel size requirements:

                          A: 14.5 x 14.5; B: 16 x 14.5; C: 13 x 16
                          - or -
                          A: 16 x 16; B: 13 x 16: C: 14.5 x 13. assuming 3/4 inch thick panels.

Will check to see what might fit under dash. Thanks.

Ok so i made a box 12hx13.5wx17d out of 3/4 mdf which gives an internal volume of 1.13. I found i could get real close to the 1.15 you recommended and only need one 2'x4' sheet to do it with!

So I measured, cut, glued, pin nailed and screwed it all together (wife says i overkilled the screws, is 100 too many? ) I coated it with bedliner-in-a-can and then carpted the face (for looks as that's all you can see) and installed the sub. Man what a difference! This freakin thing pounds now! Thanks Phil!

BTW, I had the wife sit in the drivers seat last night and started pounding the tunes. She says "oooh i can feel it real good in the seat" ... she wants to drive now! sshhhhh, she'll kill me if she knows i told!

On the boats I work on that have sunpads, we put subs under there intentionally. Yes, you now know why...

Glad to know it worked out so well!!!

just another day in the life...
