    Tower Speakers

    Ok on my 07 Rz2 the tower speakers seem to cut out when the music is at a farely loud level around where we board with it at. My friend who has the 06 22v has the same problem this is with the kicker tower speakers but i was wondering if i can fix this by adjusting the amps or what? we have tried to open the two hatch doors and shut the stero off to let it cool and get air moving. and it didnt seem to work we have emptied the compartment and opened both hatches and let air move through with the stero off and it still sorta did that and we felt them and they weren't hott at all....
    any help would be great. i have 2 tower speakers and the light bar its the kicker set up with the 2 kicker amps.

    I responded in the other thread in general discussion. Your amps gains are likely too high. That would be the first thing to check. You can follow the gain tutorial at www.wakeboatworld.com to get them set properly. If that is not the problem then post back and we cna ssist further, but 90% of the time, this will be the solution. Most times I find they are turned all the way to max.

      The issue is actually probably impedance related.

      A few questions:

      Do you have tower of power or Tower of PowerX? i.e., are there one or two pairs of KICKER coax speakers up there?

      Which amplifiers do you have? That boat should have the ZX700.5 for the boat speakers, but I am curious about the other amp, which would be for the tower speakers.

      My likely suggestions is that you have the tower of powerX system, with the speakers in parallel, connected to the ZX350.4. It is probably wired in bridge mode, which is showing somewhere around 1-ohm per amp channel; too low a load for the amp.

      There are two reasonable fixes, but I want you to verify the questions above first, so we can go down the correct path.

        I will not know tell this weekend im back home for school and we keep my boat at our lake house with our others. If you would like i could have a friend check it out i have 2 amps and 2 kickers up top and I have the biggest stero you can get i know that
