Dimming Of Sound

I have a wierd problem. We can be riding and listening to music at our regular volumes. Then, after a while, is almost sounds like the music dims slightly...almost like it loses some of the high end. It is very odd. I turn the volume down some, wait a sec, and turn it back up and it will be fine for a minute...then back to diming again. Is the power supply just getting too low?

when does it happen? like battery only, while driving, idle, is it a deep bass song, etc

While driving. We never have it that loud unless we are pulling somebody. It is very slight, but noticable. No particular song.

Sounds like a head unit issue.

mine used to do that when I had too much power and not enough alt. But i doubt yours is that big. I agree with sp, sounds like a HU
