Went out on the river today and when we switchted the key off and then turned it back on the amp wouldnt turn on but the radio would. After about 10 min it would kick on but then as soon as we turned off the key it wouldnt come back on the next time we turned the key on. The amp didnt feel hot and theres a fan on it. Any ideas? Loose REM wire?

ok, i would first check your remote wire, and then if that is solid and in one piece check your ground and power. Mine were loose like that once and I had the same problem. I didn't figure it out till I pulled the wire out on accident by just touching it.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

I tried to look in there while we were on the water but I didnt want to climb into that compartment. Ill check all the wires out, the remote wire is what I think the problem is but I guess Ill find out. With the ground and power wire, Where did your problem occur, at the battery or the amp?Common Sense is not so Common

I will agree with Dom, and in fact had started a reply earlier to suggest double-checking the power and ground connections.
That really should be all it is.It's not an optical illusion.

On the water, the same thing happend turn the key, radio came on amp didnt. Drove a while hit a wave and it turned on. But then as soon as we turn the key off, and then try to turn it back on it wont come back on. Im thinking its a loose wire, now i just have to find where.Common Sense is not so Common
