If the Kicker puts out 500 watts at 2 ohms, and you wire 2 woofers at 2 ohms to it, then each woofer will get 250 watts in theory.

so... there is no way to have the kicker 10" get 500 watts since it's a DVC unless I add another one to it?

using the amp that I have. darn, guess I have to get another sub

          Dom-

          Took a minute.....

The PPI amp you are using will deliver 1000 watts at 2-ohms, correct, per the early posts in this thread???

If so, and if you have the KICKER speakers configured to 4 ohms, they will get 500. The addition of the second 4-ohm subwoofer take the amp load to 2-ohms, the output to 1000 watts, and EACH speaker will get 500 watts.

If you want to put all 1000 into a single subwoofer, you would fine one with dual 4-ohm voice coils, and wire the coils in parallel.
          It's not an optical illusion.
          It just looks like one.....

            thanks Phil,

I think I have it all figured out now, now to just wrap up the wiring, and get a box for the 12's built.
