"Fatal Attachment.......you bolted them on, now they wont come off" Coming soon to a tower near you.

At least they wont leave you for another tower.

I think there is some potential there, they look paintable.

When I get ready for HLCD, I'll be building my own.

Good one! Yeah I'm sure you could paint them being ABS.

The more I look at that box design, the more I do not like it. It looks to have about 70+ degrees of vertical throw, and a very irregular pattern on the HLCD....that would toast the boat interior to no getout. This Kicker box looks like it would be better suited to be mounted 90 degrees from what it is built for.

When is a designer going to build one of these to throw wide and short? All the designs I see seem to use prebuilt horns that throw too much vertical width. Seems like they would build their own, or order some that thorw about 30 degrees vertical, and 90 horizontal.

You'll are a rough crowd, see if ever post something like this again

Seriously, they are not Wetsounds or NVS's, nor do they cost as much. For a budget minded boater that wants a decent sounding and decent looking setup, these may be worth a look.

I realize this, but I still think they are ugly! I mean I would buy a cheaper speaker, but those

So where are they available for purchase?

For what I have parted out, I will be in $350 in materials and components for 4 8" TRUE MIDRANGE drivers, and 2 90 x 30 HLCDs, with xovers neutik connectors, glass, and all. I think the big part is the true midrange. I am not to sure about the frequency response on the big brands (NVS and wetsounds) on the 8" drivers they are using. It takes alot of power to get an 8" to play a decent 1800Hz signal from a typical driver. Best part is that all this is rebuildable, so if you blow a driver....open it up, replace a part, jam on it.
