    How are your amps mounted

How are they oriented? I think most of you are going to be wall mounted to the inside of the port dry storage. I am thinking of mounting mine in the foward dry storage area to the floor, near the batteries. This would provide optimal radiant cooling. I can't think of a reason we ever use that area, and it is very hard to reach anyway. We used to put the boards in there, but with the tower racks, there is no need.

I was warned against doing this by my dealer because the windshield and dash mounting screws actually leak on the older boats. So, I mounted mine underneath the dash as high as I could go. You can't really see them. Of course, I don't leave my boat in the water for days at a time.

If your amps are mounted on the floor and you take a roller over your bow, do you have any concern about your amps getting wet?

I have mine mounted to the forward bulkhead of the observes compartment. They are up as high as I could get them. I haven't had any overheating issues at all. They are out of the way and dry at all times. Huge PITA to remove.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Mine are port side near the inside wall. The rollers can be an issue with your amps. Plus when you mount them to the side wall you still have storage. My other thought was to put them on the gunwhale side of the boat on the slanted area but the number of amps did not fit very well. If you didn't see this install check it out. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/m...tml?1175818073

DO NOT PUT THEM ON THE FLOOR!!! We have taken a roller and the floor in that compartment was wet. Of course the bow of ours is a little low, so..... Our amps are mounted to the fwd bulkhead as high as they can go aswell.
