Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
your so funny! i think I have a bad cell in my banks and it's dragging my total amperage down. But I'll look into it soon. I'll have all kinds of questions for you monday if I don't get it figured out

That could do it...
It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....
i'm going to try the charge method over friday night first to see if that's the case, as funds are really tight and don't wanna drop an extra 2 bills on batts right now if I can wait till jan and then just replace all 7 (5 for free though )

Took all the battery readings, and in fact 1 entire bank (3 batteries were all reading 12+ and then the other bank (3 battereis) were all reading 10.
This being said when I went to the amp i was only getting like 8. the amps need at least 11 to stay on.
SO... I realized my inboard charger the negative was not hooked up so I hoooked those up and tested the charge on the batteries and they all read 12-13.
Now when I turned the boat on they all ran GREAT!! HOWEVER shortly after they turned off due to the lack of power. SO... I then hooked up my home garage charger and they all came back as it had the power to keep up. THIS being said it turns out I don't have enough juice to the batteries. I ran them under my boat charger all weekend to see how they will result and charge.
Any other suggestions?

Know of any used nuclear reactores for sale cheap?
No, seriously, I think you are on the right track, adn maybe have found the problem, if I am reading correctly. Start monitoring charge times and voltages to try to get a feel for what is going to be a standard re-juice time after usage.
Stick with it...

I'm getting in on this after 45 pages of posts (wow), but here is my without reading all 45 pages of posts.
For a 12 volt charger, you should actually be reading approx 13.2 volts to charge the batteries correctly, this is true with your alternator, while your engine is running.
Am I reading this right, you have 6 batteries on your boat?
Dom, imagine what is going thru this guy's head if he has not been following your post over the last several months.
Good luck, hope you find the your power bandit.
yeah I bet he is just thinking I"M CRAZY!! he he ha ha. I think I have found that the charger was not charging them at the right cap since I had both banks being charged when the charger is not designed that way.
I'm going out tonight to see what the batts are reading. So perhaps the three are truly bad then off to cosco for new one's. Guess I'll find out tonight
