There is a lot of stuff between the H/U and the amp. Try bypassing all of that stuff and go H/U - RCA CABLE - AMP as a test and see what happens.

I see the word DIGITAL in there, and you may well have some low level noise/hash thet is artifact from whatever you are doing digitally.

I must have missed it, why are you pulling carpet off? Is that an old box getting re-furbed to go in the boat, or is that one you built a few months ago?

The box is not waterproof or water-resistant probably.

new box, and didn't want it ruined by water. I'll be getting a custom one made, but not for a while, and newbies driving my boat just can't keep the nose out of the water.

HUSH!! it's cleaned up a lot now, but still needs work. This winter I'm putting in false bottoms, and moving an amp to port side to balance my weight out better.

the thing that sucks is I could not get all the glue/carpet off, still lots of sticky fuszzies, so it looks like I'll have to recarpet it, as the bedliner didnt cover it. It just doesn't look that great. SO... more work. But at least for this weekend it will be protected.
