the other thing I found interesting is it was 100 degrees outside, and I have not installed my fans yet for the compartments and not one amp had an issue. Granted I wasn't blasting them, but just a thought, Made me feel a little bit better

What about some sort of steel/aluminum tubing (match the aluminum on the face) and run a bolt through it? I haven't read every post in here, maybe you don't want something like that.
38 straight days and nights of rain. 2 more and you know the story...
We bought our boat in December and did our test drive at Buchanan. The guy said it was low at that time. Probably not any more.
Living in the desert we get less that 12 inches a year. When we lived in Houston we would get 24" in 24 hours. What a climate change. I used to think "No place but Texas", but really do enjoy Tucson. Good luck with the Tige Ark.

Dom, you will prpbably not experience any issues until you have it cranked for 45 minutes with little or no air circulation on the amps. It has only happened to us once when we were surfing non stop and the air temp was 110+. We now crack the front seats but at 12 mph you don't get much air flow. Good luck.
When I'm playing my system there is a slight hum on the nvs's. This is when my system is on and I can control the NVS's separate. When I turn the NVS's up, the hum goes away or at least I think it does.
Any ideas on how to fix this or narrow the solution? do you think it could be a ground loop noise from the head unit? it is happening when the engine is on or off, it makes no difference.
Thanks guys.

Weird that it happens with motor on or off.
At the moment, I can only say it is humming because it doesn't know the words...
Is there something else turned on that could be causing it? Motor compartment blower, pump of some sort....
It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....
System completely finished, is it ever? it's like rebuilding a car, is it ever done?
I have been building a Cobra since '93. Hope you can do better with your boat.
it will be done this winter I'm sure. But i mean it's done for now, just have to add my fans which will happen next week, and clean up some of the wire and just do pretty stuff. That's about it really.

Nope that'ss what I dont' get either, Everything was off. The only not stereo compentent that was on was the fans in the amps. That's it. and it's only the NVS speakers, none of the others. That what makes me even more dumb founded. I'll be playing around with it to try and figure it out, but I really have no clue.
With the quick releases in place it's a BREEZE to put these bad boys up, and they are spaced a bit apart now so it even looks better

It sounds like you're getting some kind of voltage build-up somewhere...most likely a grounding issue. Is it possible that your ground cable for your amps isn't big enough.
Might be some sort of resistance buildup between the different components. Is everything grounded to the same ground and are negative terminals on your batteries tied together?
