2017 R23 stereo upgrade options.

What you folks recommend? 4 icon 8’s now. Standard MA300 head. Another sub? Like the sounds of the equalizer people are putting in to control level of each speaker.

What would you be looking for in an upgrade? Rev-8 would be louder and Rev-10 would be both louder and deeper mid-bass. Before adding a woofer, id upgrade the existing to a 12" woofer. Zone control like from the WS-420 or WS-220 is a huge upgrade in terms of user friendliness.

IIRC, your 2017 should have the OEM DSP amps. There can be some advantages to upgrading the amps to consumer level amps with accessible tuning settings. I want to say the 2017 "R" series has the Syn-DX amps amps, not the HTX series, but cant recall for sure. I also want to say that the 2017 got the Revo in-boats, which is a step up from the XS-65ic.
