    06-07 22Ve tower speakers

I bought my first boat a few months ago and have been learning a great deal from this group, so thank you to everyone who has been helping us newbies out. I can't find my tower on any of the pictures I've looked through. I bought a 2006 22Ve according to the title but some of the specs make me wonder if it's a 2007 (it seats 14 instead of 11 . . .).

I need tower speakers but I'm not sure what size will fit and if I need to buy a special mount to mount them to the designed location. I may be able to mount them to the round part but prefer to go in the designed mounting location. My storage unit isn't high enoug to leave the tower up so I need to allow enough space to bring the front tower supports down. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Martin.

06 06 wont mater, thats not a Tige tower. I cant remember but i know @Lee or @danandchristy will. Popular tower by the Vegas dealer and others out west, back in the day.

However, those mounting spots are somewhat standard for brands like Wet Sounds and a few others.

That's what I was thinking. A buddy of mines centurion has that tower.

LOVE that tower, I searched and searched and searched for an 06/07 24Ve with that tower. Ended up with the E-Series.

That makes sense. It's a great tower. I've taken the boat out a few times and it works great.

I like the Rev 8 but I don't want to spend that much money right now and I don't think it will fit. I'm hoping 6s will fit and maybe fit two on each side if it doesn't get too expensive.

          What do you recommend?

I would say save some cash up and go for the Rev 8's. You will not be disappointed and looking to replace what you buy at a later date. The 8's are big but truly sound amazing. You will only need one pair and not the 2 on each side.

I would love the Rev8s but I'm not sure they will fit on my tower. I left a message with wet sound tech support to get better dimensions than what's on their website. Anybody know how far back they begin to taper down?

Any other recommendations? Kicker seems to get good reviews on some of their tower speakers and they have a 6.5" option that I may have to settle for.

Kicker does not have a pod that will direct bolt to that tower in the designated spots. However, there are some empty pods that share the same bolt pattern as that tower, that you can load load with most any 6.5".

The Wet Sounds Rev and Icon pod pretty much tapers from the start. I can provide some dimensions and pics if needed. I am confident that the Rev-8/Icon-8 will fit. Have you looked through the wet sounds owners gallery under centurion?

Martin, I think I know this boat....I have the same tower as well. It was made by metcraft. It comes under the name evolution on centurions. I have 4 6.5" in pods on mine. There are special brackets that bolt to the black portion of he tower and the pods bolt up those brackets. I would do what chp recommended and head over to centurion owners forum and see if you can get more ideas over there. Checkout https://samsonsports.com/shop/centur...adapter-lower/ These are difrent from my brackets but may work for your requirements.

Yep, I've seen that tower on some Centurions. Looks slick on a Tige'! Slap some REV 8s on it, I know they're kinda spendy but it's easier doing it right the first time IMO. Happy boating!

Martin22ve: those look like Utah mountains in the background, but are you in Vegas??

If adapters are needed. think the Wet Sounds Gladiator adapters will work. https://wetsounds.com/pages/products/ta-centurion.html

I got a used set of polished ones somewhere.

It looks like the Evolution tower and Revs bolt up. If you want 4 you will need a pair of gladiator brackets.

Thank you for all the help guys. Lots of ideas from centurion pictures on WS. I need to see if I can raise the door to my storage enough to keep the tower up so I can get the Rev8 or 10s.

Boonecragun, you very well might know the boat. It was purchased in Vegas then the owner moved to Utah where the pictures are. I bought it there this January so it is now back in Vegas.
