So I'm wondering if anyone has built the sealed box for the xxx12 here and if so how well did it sound after the install. I'm getting ready to install everything on my new ride and was looking for some input thanks.

Ive done the original XXX in a sealed and its ok. Not done a V2 in a sealed but done a couple in ported enclosures and real pleased with its SQ and output. Id really try to go ported.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

want em to hit way harder n new boat
The OEM woofer comes under the helm on the RZX2 so wall space for the 12" could be limiting as well as cavity behind the helm for the enclosure. Also, open walkway on the RZX2 so 2nd would need to go in locker, which needs to be vented.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

im gonna fire each xxx with 900- 1000 per sub this go around again I just don't know were to locate the 2nd one I know I can put one in passenger side like before but have to dig deeper as far as drivers side
On my rz2 I had to remount the heater move all the wiring up and pull the ballast bags as far forward as possible with that being said that was fairly easy compared to a fiberglassed foot panel so some cutting may have to happensurf till u die.

Mike, what about ported enclosures... wet sounds website has specs for two. They show specs/build sheet for a dual slot box with a net volume and of 1.4 cubic feet tuned to 36hz, and a little bit smaller box with a tube port tuned to 40hz. The sub specs page claims 1.8 cubic feet ported at 41hz is optimum... so neither of their given box designs match the sub. Which one is gonna sound the best? Am I overthinking this? Are these numbers all so close that it doesn't really matter? I found this box that is coated and looks pretty good. Specs are 1.75 cubic feet at 41hz, which is pretty close to wet sounds optimum numbers.. think it would work pretty well?

The round port was done up by a past Tige owner.
Just note, the dual slot box is for show, those specs can be duplicated with a single slot box that would have slightly smaller external dimensions.
Now to that linked box;
im skeptical of the baffle board holding a woofer the weight of XXX. .75 MDF and no cradle. Any attempt to address this, alters the tuning.
interior of the box looks raw. This could be handled, but going to be tough to coat the port walls post assembly.
Will it fit your boat, where you want it to go? Need to allow for some form of stand-offs to get it off the floor. This adds a little height to account for.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
