Xmd3 head unit is acting up and both wired remotes are refusing to do anything.. System after a few minutes of playing says hello and refuses to let ya adjust volume unless you hit the mode button for aux again. I would like a bluetooth unit.. Will a m606 or m505 fit?

yes they will both fit. you will also need to upgrade your remotes since the xmd3 remotes are not compatible. -
The xmd and m series all require the typical 2" x 7" cutout. However, with OEM installed units with the larger faces like the xmd, cdm, m606, we find that the human cut holes done at the factory tend to be on the liberal side. This is possible because the large face will cover the not so exact hole. This can be an issue when you move to a unit like the M505 that has a more traditional rectangle face. The retaining cradle does may not fit well and it will certainly not cover the mounting screw holes left by the other units.
