Faded Wet Sounds Grilles - how to fix?

The grilles on my tower speakers are really faded out and terrible looking. They are white Rev 8's, not sure how old. The grilles were originally silver. Has anybody replaced or painted theirs and are happy with the results?

I thought I might just use matte black spray paint but was hoping somebody has a better idea.

    Thanks.

I believe you can order them from Wet Sounds. I didn't do it personally but I just bought a boat and the dealer ordered new ones for me.

I don't have any pictures handy but I sanded off all the plastic chrome on my pro60's and painted them blue to match my hull. Was a simple afternoon job.

If your boat has the older Pro 60 or 80, then yes, Wet sounds does offer a replacement grill set for those that are the all chrome plated version. They are fashioned after the rev series. With a little bit of work, you can sand down the chrome plating and rattle can them.

image.jpgimage.jpg Not Wetsounds obviously, but this is a first coat of rustolium for plastic. Blue Strip is next after this cures but came out really well if you want to DIY the project.
