Split RCA Outputs or No?

Trying to figure out the firsts steps to cleaning up the rats nest that is my stereo setup.. Whoever did the previous install has split both front and rear RCA outputs from the head unit and ran both front and rears to both the in-boat speakers amp and the tower speakers amp.. Is this necessary? Can I lose the splitters and just run front RCAs to in-boats and rear RCAs to tower, or vice versa? Is this ok and if so will it mess with sound quality? Didn't know if the amps needed both front and rear line inputs for the speakers to sound correct..

Sounds like the tower amp is a 4 chnl. Is it running bridged or 4 chnl stereo?

Tower amp is ht4 with pair of rev8's.. In boat amp not installed yet but will be ht2 with 4 xs-650's wired to get 150 per.. The ht2 only has one set of RCA inputs, but the ht4 has 2 sets. That's what made me wonder if it needed both front and rears. Boat is in the garage on the farm right now, so I'm going by memory here, but the Ht4 has 4 speaker wires hooked to it so that would be the 4 chnl stereo right? Am I leaving power on the table here?

I know that ht4 is rated for 300x2 at 4 ohm mono, so I was just assuming that's how they had it hooked up, 300 per rev... Maybe not?

Front rca out from the head unit to the HT-2

rear rca outs from head unit to HT-4 and the splitters will be needed. Bridged to a pair of rev-8, yes, 300W rms x 2.

So to clarify, only two sets of RCA plugged into head unit (not counting sub outs of course) but split the end of the rears so I can plug all four inputs on the ht4 right? I'm sure this is where you meant to use the splitters...

While I've got your ear.. RCA cables.. I realize they aren't all create equal, but is there a noticeable difference? I saw on the Bjax R20 build that it looks like you like T-Spec stuff.. But they have 5 different grades of RCAs.. What's a guy to do??

Yes, I use the T-Spec stuff. I typically use the V8 series and have not had noise issues period. Out of hundreds used, ive only had 2 defective ends and they were clear out of the box. RCA's have come a long way in the past years. Budget friendly cables are good and high priced does not guarantee high quality and less expensive does not mean crap. .

We run Tspec V10 as its made for the Marine environment. Ran the V6 in a couple boats and they worked great too. Also use the WetSounds RCAs with great success.
