I know nothing bout audio and have picked up much on here. Mikes Liquid Audio has been a huge help, to bad he is 1200 miles away. I want to know if I hook a second sub up in series what it will do. Damage my existing equipment, produce little to none in more output, or just b straight out disappointing. I have the syn6 running 3 pair of the xs-650 and one xs-10fa bridged. the syn2 is running four rev 10s. Polk audio system. The first problem is that the xs-10fa is not doing much but thanks to mike I found out it needs air as it completely cut off from any. Hopefully when we open the space up it performs better. My dealer has a another xs-10fa sitting and I'm just curious if its worth wiring it to the existing one in series at all or just going the route of putting in another amp and sub combination. Any thoughts opinions ideas warnings would b awesome. 2016 Rz4 with taps3. I know pics are a help but I don't how to up load them just yet. Thanks guys

I took out my XS-10FA and replaced it with a Hertz HX300D, Put a new proper ported box in underneath the dash with 2.5 Cu Ft of displacement. Added a standalone Exile xm12.1 Watt Amp. I am very pleased with the results.
I also ran the XS-650s to dedicated channels on the Syn 6 and replaced the Syn 2 with an Arc Ks600.2 for the tower.
Much happier with the sound output.
All depends what you want out of it. One well placed properly boxed sub will be a ton better than two underpowered subs in substandard or non-existent enclosures

Wiring in series is a complete waste. Did you re-wire the existing sub to be bridge? That will quadruple your power. In tandem with opening up the airspace I found it was enough for me.
Before adding another 10fa I wild consider a properly boxed 12" sub. There is still 600 watts there. That is a lot for any normal listener.Last edited by JohnnieMo; 12-23-2015, 09:49 PM.

What we have with the 10fa in the later models of Tige, is a woofer that is improperly "boxed", or in other words, an enclosed woofer that should not be. A true IB woofer like the 10FA needs a large cavity like the helm mid-ship locker, rather then a small sealed or ported enclosure.
If you pull the woofer and see this:
You need to do this:
