    06 22ve Stereo issue

A friend of mine's boat is having problems after the original amp was stolen. He had someone install a new amp and the entire stereo won't turn on. It has a transom remote as well.
The link below takes you to pictures of the newly installed amp. There are 4 wires not connected to anything. 2 black, 1 red, 1 yellow.
Any thoughts where they go? I imagine they are the reason for it not turning on.

Any assistance you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I am 100% confident that the blacks are ground. One will be for the had-unit, but dont know about the other. The blacks needs to be piggy-backed into the amps B- (battery negative) post. Im also confident that the yellow is the head-unit B+/MEM. This yellow needs to be piggy-backed in with the amp's red B+ (battery positive) post. The red, im not sure of, but suspect it may be for some other piece of audio gear and is a mate for that 2nd black wire.

If you have a digital volt ohm meter, disconnect the head-units main connector and check for continuity between the blacks and the connector black and between the yellow and the connector yellow. I would also check between that red and the heac-unit connector red, but i doubt you will find they are the same circuit.

Could the yellow be memory power and the red be switched power maybe? I know my unit can only be turned on when the ignition is switched to on or acc

Mike could have another opinion, and I would concede to him, but once you get those wires chased down and connected correctly, I would switch the amp auto turn on switch to audio..

As long as there are no issues with the head-units remote turn on circuit, id leave the amp on the 12V trigger. Clarion has historically had a good steady turn-on circuit with a good delay/signal mute with no turn on/off pops or thumps. Even when we get a high number of amps and and EQ or zone controller, i stick with the 12V trigger and incorporate a rely.
