    CMV1 to WS420 to Syn 2 & Syn 6

Looking for some advice as I am currently stumped.

I have now cut holes & mounted the WS420SQ & BT controller in my dash, just need a little cleaning up on the edges to say it's done. The Wetsounds kit with all 8 RCAs & the included 3 wires have been routed around the bow (via the speaker openings) to the starboard compartment that holds the amps & is below the CMV1 radio in the glovebox. After my 6'4" self was packed in that little hole for far too long, I have finished mounting the original Syn 6 back in place & adding a new Syn 2 from the Pimp My Tige gift certificate last year. I also finished hooking up power/speaker wires & tidying up everything as much as I could without a full gut of the wiring harness. I'm worn out now and have decided it's time to ask for help on the RCA connections before I go batty staring at 6 little holes. I guess for reference, all equipment was pulled out except the head unit. OEM installation includes Clarion CMV1 & Wetsounds Syn6. New installation includes Wetsounds WS420SQ, Blue Tooth controller, Syn 2, & a pair of Rev10s.

    Please help

From the 420 tower L&R, looks like orange and black, will connect to the Syn-2 L&R

From the 420 boat L&R, green and red, connect to the Syn-6 chnl 1 and chnl 2 inputs.

from the 420 sub L&R, blue and yellow, connect to the Syn-6 chnl 5 and chnl 6 inputs.

I do not think any input mode settings will need to be changed on the Syn-6. All inboats should play as well as the sub and their volume controlled via the respective volume knobs on the 420

The remaining last pair of rca into the 420's main L&R, will connect to one of the head-units RCA outputs. Front, rear, non-fade or fixed if it has one.

Hopefully you wont need to pull the 420 back out and adjust its internal gain levels. The amps gains will likely need to be lowered a little.

Hahaha Now I have another kink in the puzzle. Radio & amps won't turn on. First time the key has been turned this year, batteries have been on a charger, & the TigeTouch turns on. Wonder what I knocked loose or pulled out when I pulled out all of the original 4AWG a few months ago.

At least my RCAs are hooked up right though

The head-unit's black ground and yellow B+ were piggybacked on the Syn-6 power cables. Are these back in place or did they get hidden away?

They're connected. I hooked them onto my splitters when I ran the new 1/0. Things that make you go hmmm

Cranking battery 12.8V. House battery 0.875V. I think I narrowed that down in a hurry. Apparently my charger is junk too as 1 of 2 banks is apparently not working.

What's with all of the excessive corrosion too? This is after sitting for a month. No use.

Battery seems to be holding a charge now so I'll hold out on replacement. I may have a bad onboard charger.

I have everything hooked up now but no sound on the port side Rev10. I also can't adjust the tower volume from the WS420SQ. I checked all connections and they're all right. Need to check in daylight & see if there's an RCA in the wrong spot.

So port side tower rev-10 does not play and stbd side isnt effected by volume? Whats its volume as compared to the other speakers and effected by the in-boat or sub volume?

Double check the RCA's cause a couple of them are very close in color tags and can be easily confused.

once thats all working as it should, I see come amp settings that could use changing

I swapped the RCAs on the channels & determined that it's either the speaker wire or the speaker itself. It was getting dark & I've been up since 4AM so I'll get back after it tomorrow afternoon. Back at it with the multimeter to trace the bad connection.

Pluses and minuses are important in case anyone is wondering. Doh. Dumb mistake but easy fix.

Got the wiring all squared away in the other thread, I think. I can't even begin to tell you guys how much I appreciate all the work that Mike has put into this. I'm beyond words.
