http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/blue...ue+sea&Ntk=All would this bus bar work for getting power from my battery switch to my amps? one is a 350W mono block and the other is a 1000W 4 channel im not sure the brand or model at this point as the boat is in storage and cant get to it until this weekend but these are the only bus bars i can find locally and would like to redo my stereo this weekend to get rid of the rats nest of wiring in the boat. my main concern is the small screws and how they will hold up with that amount of power. i will have one for power and one to ground everything to then take that back to the battery but this will aslo give me room to expand with other cool toys as i want them.

Those #8 screws WILL NOT work for amp connections. That is not the most ideal solution for branching amp cables. If you have a local audio shop, check with them for something like a 2-way combo fused/ground distribution block. I like the T-Spec V12DB14PN It could be had for about what one of those Bus bars are.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Would need to know the distance from the amps to the battery/switch and the amp models.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

ok different question for you if i remember correctly you cant use to big a wire does my memory serve me correctly? my next question what is the biggest wire the very top end most powerful 4 channel would require that way i dont have to upgrade the wiring when i upgrade the amp at some point? not to worried about the sub amp this one drives my kicker just fine so wont be going any bigger if it goes out it will just get a small kicker amp anyway so say this kicker amp what size wire would it require? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-c...&skuId=7707052

1/0 for your trunk line and 4ga for the branch lines and I doubt you would even need to upgrade.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Yes, you need some form of circuit protection on the trunk line, right after it connects to the switch or battery. Fusing the branch lines is not always needed if the amps have chassis mounted fuses.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

ok that will work then i cant find the block you recomended locally so ill have to use something that isnt fused or just order it and have it shipped but go ahead and run my wires to where all i have to do is put it in there. if i do decide to order it is this something you could get me? i would rather buy from a retailer thats on the forums and helps us then any where as even if it does cost me a few extra bucks because i do really like the design of that block.

I will check in the AM to see if i have one in stock. If so, I can USPS flat-rate it and you might have it Monday or Tuesday.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
