Wetsounds - loud in boat, hard to hear when riding ...

We're having an issue whereby the surf rider can't hear the tunes while shredding. We keep turning the volume up (using the screen and/or the Polk head unit), which makes for some crazy loud action IN the boat ... and yet our riders still can't hear the tunes loud enough back on the wave.

Anyone else having this issue? We have a 2015 Z3 with 2 Rev-10's and 2 Rev-8's on the tower (powered by a Syn 2 and a Syn 6).

    Thanks.

If its all factory installed, it will be a Syn-2 driving the 4 tower pods. Nothing wrong with that amp for a surf setup, should be heard just fine. Make sure the "fade" is not turned away from the towers to the in-boats.

Is the fade on the amp itself or the head unit ... or somewhere else?

Should be on the tige touch or head unit

At the last boat show, I chatted with the rep from Wetsounds. He explained to me that the 8" and 10" are aimed at different distance. The 10" shoot around 40' to 50', ideal from wakeboard, while the 8" are tuned to be heard at around 15', ideal for wakesurf. That's why I chose to have 2x 10" and 2x 8" mounted on my tower

He must have been referring to the 8" Icon-8, as the rev-10 and Rev-8 use the same 2" voice coil compression driver. The Icon-8, which i dont recall being a Tige option, is a traditional direct radiating coaxial. The OP has 2 pairs of HLCDs, both designed for wake range projection.

Wow, proof that didn't ask the right questions. I thank you for the great explanation
