    RZ2 stereo

Finally got the boat and having some issues with the system working. Currently have a syn 6 and syn 4 with two Rev 10's. Going to the stereo shop this weekend for the WS EQ and adding another pair of Rev 10's. Question I have revolves around my sub. I currently have just stock sub which is the FA WS 10. Would it be beneficial to add another FA 10? If so where is the best place for mounting? If not, what is recommended for good sounding bass? Came from a boat with two 12's and it sounded damn good!

Best location and sub size for your stereo would be a minimum of 1- 12" xs12 or what I would do is a XXX under helm, ported....

The simple answer is yes and right next to the existing woofer. Two 10" woofers is more surface area then a 12, so that equals more output.

Now, for the complicated answer. In order to milk the Syn-6 of its available 600W (300W to each woofer) you would need to purchase two new 10fa 2 ohm woofers, not one. This is due to the current woofer being a single 4 ohm voice coil. You need two 2 ohm woofers, in order to get a 4 ohm combined load that can be bridged on the Syn-6's chnls 5/6.

Given the above the hurdle, the best route to go, would be to upgrade to a single 4 ohm 12" woofer in a ported enclosure. The Wet Sounds XS-12 is a perfect option, as well as the Kicker CVR122. Or, you could do a pair of Kicker KM102 in a 1.8 ft3 sealed enclosure.

What I would do right now and requires no parts investment, just some time........rewire the sub so its bridged on chnls 5/6. Tuning is crucial, but it really improves the subs output.
Whats your amp choice for the 2 pair Rev-10?

Simple solution add the as-10 from wet sounds. I added it last year and have very pleased with it - placed it under the flip up observer seat.

Thank you everyone for the advice! I'm thinking about going the way of the 12 or possibly two twelves. Looks like this might be a winter project. As for powering the towers, right now I have a syn 4 powering the rev 10's and it looks like I might be adding another syn 4 to power the second pair of rev 10s. TULSAH, you are my hero! Want to make a trip to Kentucky and work on my boat??????
