so the last couple of weeks I have been researching everything I could find on how to wire amps. what I'm trying to accomplish is to wire my four XS650's into my four channel 1600w amp, which my sub is already wired into. currently the four in boats are wired to the head unit individually. which is fine if my music comes in through the head unit, but makes for some interesting remixes when I switch to the Ipod through the ws420.
the amp is a cheapo class D. the sub is bridged between channels 3 and 4. so what I'm thinking of is wiring the four in boats in parallel to channels 1 and 2. the front two to channel 1, and the back two to channel 2. if I learned anything from my researching then I think this will work. the amp has a minimum impedance of 2 ohms. therefore two 4 ohm xs650's wired in parallel would be 2 ohms to channels 1 and 2. is this correct? will this work? to be honest I'm just trying to make this work so I don't have to go buy a syn 6. I've already gone over budget on the stereo this year.
