I recently replaced my Syn amps with Sinister amps. All wiring is the same, it's a simple replacement. The problem is when immediately after engine start the AMPs seem like they don't like the power surge and wont turn back on. My head unit and tige touch all come back after the momentarily power flux however these SD amps seem more finicky with the power surge.
I called wet sounds for any ideas and they suggested installing a relay in the remote wiring from the head unit to each of the amps and WS420EQ. I didn't want to bother them too much but I'm trying to dig deeper into how to actually do this and what sort of relay I might need.
Any experts have any other solutions? This is a very annoying problem. I have no issues with the stereo when I turn the boat off and go to the accessory (tige touch button engaged) this is only when I go to start the motor, seems the power flux in the system momentarily suspends all electronics for a sec but these AMPs don't recover even though the head unit/tige touch/WS420EQ is back online with no issues! I end up simply powering off/on the head unit and the amps come back with no issues, but I don't want to be doing this EVERY time I start the motor.
thx for the help!
