First boat run of the season.....

Had the first run of the season and all went pretty well except for a nasty ground causing my stereo to make all sorts of noises... especially when I turn on the Fan or Bilge rockers... even when I hit the TAPS up or down.... It is ridiculous... I realize I have a bad ground but just trying to see where to start even.... It only does it on the boat speakers and not the tower speakers. Just wondering where to start...It is embarrassing to even start the boat with the radio on it is so bad... lol...

How many batteries do you have? Did you winterize it and remove the batteries? If so, did you get all the wires connected and correctly?

I have two batteries... Nothing was changed on the system... I have always had a little buzz/whine... but nothing like this.... It is only with the key in the on position... everything I touch at the helm seems to make the stereo go all kinds of crazy!

Just our of curiosity what amp is driving your in boat speakers? I have a 2013z3 with the upgraded stereo. Each year after the first season of use - this is my third year - when I put the stereo on for the first time, my in boat speakers which are run off of a SYN 6, have a very bad static noise coming from them. The batteries are both fully charged and the noise is present when the boat is in accessory mode or running. I need to push in one of the toggle buttons on the amp (i am not entirely sure which one it is) let it out again and the noise disappears. May not seem related but the fact that yours only started happening after storage made me think of my issue.
