    Speaker Conection Problem

Samson Tower with removable speakers. The tip in one of the sockets broke off in the speaker. This speaker connection is no good, need to replace it. Do I have to go back to Samson or is the connection readily available?

The Samson (and Exile) speaker terminal post is basically a headphone type audio male plug. Im sure you could source a post, but the unknown is, is it serviceable. I just dont know.

      Hey Chpthril,

Not fluent in stereo stuff so, here is the piece out of the mount, can this whole piece be sourced? The other problem, the tip is buried down inside the speaker. It seems to work fine in the other fitting so not sure if it is an issue or not.

Search 1/4 phone jack. Try a thin telescopic magnet for retrieving the broken tip.

Never hurts to call the folks at samson they are great. As cheap said they designed this for Exile and so Exile audio may also have the part you need. Both good companies. I had the same cans on my tower until last summer when I moved to some exile 9's. Good luck finding what you need.

Those are the internals of a Switchcraft 280 straight male phono plug.

Google it and you will find an exact replacement.

Thanks everyone for the info. The piece is on its way back to Samson for repair. For the price, I thought it was worth it plus one less thing I need to deal with too.
