Pulled the kick panel yesterday and holy moly at the electronics. Now I see what yall are saying..don't know if it's possible to get a box there. The wall is right behind it as well.
Is it possible to put a wetsound 12" sub where the existing hole is for the 10" ?
Also can you add subs to the outside of the ski lockers. Just cut a hole on outside for sub and use the area under the seat for airspace. Again not up to par on all this stereo stuff. I was thinking of maybe putting a 12" under the heim area if possible and doing another 12" on outside of ski locker and then doing another 12" in a ported box in the area where the amps go under the glove box for when we are at anchor i can pop the hatch up. Does this sound stupid or even possible?
Also like stated before I'm only one with tige in my area. My boat only came with the 4 6.5s. I wanna add the 3rd set like I've heard the upgraded package goes.. where does the 3rd set go ..or possibly even a 4th set.
I apologize for all the questions.

And timmy! I'm in perry,Ga. And building a box is not my thing..lol

Perry GA? Where do you ride? I'm in WR we go to tobo often of course Sinclair is way better. I can help you with a box. I took mine to a local place and they didn't do what I wanted them to do so I did my own. I think it turned out ok, but I have an older boat so im not nearly as picky.

Hey sooner billy. We are mostly on Blackshear . Sometime we go to Tobo or Sinclair. But mostly Blackshear. Any pics of your setup.

Im not sure I understand what you are asking here. All of mine and Timmy's posts have been about putting a 12" woofer there. The brand is irrelevant, a 12" woofer is a 12" woofer. The answer is yes, but a Wet Sounds 12" woofer needs a custom enclosure just like the others.

If you are talking about doing infinite-baffle (free-air) sub, I think you are going to be disappointed. There is only one true marine IB 12, by JL, and im not sure its dropped yet. There a couple automotive IB 12's out there, but they have a cellulose (paper) based cone. Not ideal for a boat IMO. The one down side to any IB woofer, is power handling. This is do to dampening. The air space behind any woofer, acts as a suspension to aid on cone movement. Having a large cavity, like doing an IB, leaves a great deal of the dampening work to the woofer itself. This limits their power handling. Too much power and they get out of control.

So, to get the "hits hard' that I think you are looking for, you need lots of solid power and a 12" woofer. This drives the install to one that requires an enclosure.

Next, I would rather execute correctly, a single sub under the helm, then do multiple subs. Placing a sub in the enclosed locker makes it a boat shaker. Now, im ok with this when its the secondary sub and you understand thats what its going to be. Having 2 or more woofers around the boat radiating into the main cabin is asking for phase issues. This can actually reduce the amount of perceived bass in the boat.

I wanna add the 3rd set like I've heard the upgraded package goes.. where does the 3rd set go
Where is the original 2 pair located? I dont recall seeing a Z3 yet that only came with the base level, so I dont know which pair gets left off.

There a set in the bow and a set in the far rear corners at the floor above cup holders.

And yes I was talking about doing a free air sub under the heim and maybe one on the outside of the storage locker ..then putting a L7 in a ported enclosure and installed under the glove box area where amps are and opening hatch when at achor to get sound out. I think it would take a lot of cutting a relocating on my boat to get a ported enclosure under the heim is why I was asking a out putting under the glove box

I had my last sub under the passenger helm, sound IN the boat wasn't terrible but it was FAR from ideal. Plus it just rattled everything and was kind of annoying most of the time. You're way better off with an under dash build if possible, I didn't have much room so I made the walkthrough seat/sub route. Sounds decent but I only have a Memphis 12 with a punch 400 powering it, so a little lacking if you're trying to do a party cove setup.

If you had just bought mine you wouldn't have had to deal with all that...[emoji41]

I did the 2 xxx12 in my boat and when I got done building the boxes we had to move the electronics up and move the heater also on the drivers side but it wasn't easy to do. image.jpg
