I just finished installing the kicker zone controller so that I can adjust the bass and cabin speakers. I will post a diaphragm and my logic (what there is) for why I am doing it this way tomorrow.
Generally, the kicker is splitting the clarion xmd3 rear output. One kicker output is to the factory clarion apx200.2 which is bridged to a sub. The other kicker output is to rear input of the clarion apx400.4 which is four main cabin speakers.
It all works great but when I turn the ignition to off I get a speaker pop in the sub and cabin speakers. The speakers pop outward. What is causing this? It is both annoying and I am concerned of damaging my new sub. Don't care so much for the clarion factory system and if it blows it will be an easy sell to the wife for an upgrade. Sustem upgrade planned for next winter.
Here is a pic of the control knobs.
