For those with a Wet Sounds XS-12 subwoofer...

    What AMP are you running?

I was assuming that I would use the SYN 6, or upgrade to the SD6, which puts out 585 watts at 4 ohms bridged...

This would mean that I'd need the XS-12 to be dual 2 ohm, wired in series to get a 4 ohm load. Correct?

From what I'm reading online, the XS-12 is dual 4 ohm. This would mean I could only wire it at 2 ohm or 8 ohm. Right?

Ahhh, OK. I knew I must have been missing something. The XS-12 is a SINGLE voice coil 4 ohm speaker!

Run your Syn 2 to this and add another amp for your tower speakers...like the ARC KS600.2

I'm going to run 4 REV10 off of a SD2, and then use a SD6 for the in-boat and sub...

Seems like the most straight forward upgrade, and shouldn't require any rewiring... Which would be great!

Ive run that sub from 400W rms to 1000W rms. I think the sweat spot is 600-800W rms at the amps 14.5V spec. Retains good power when at battery voltage.

The current xs-12 is a single 4 ohm. So, you can bridge on the syn-6, sd-6, syn-4, syn-2 or HT-2. Now, if you want or need a dual 4 ohm that can be wired to a 2 ohm load for a mono, I know where one is.
