    Kicker replacement grills and amp

    Hi All

Absolutely new to this forum so help needed.

    1) Kicker sound system (ex factory) has broken grills. Any idea where to find replacements? 2006 Tige 21i.
    2) Amp got stolen pre delivery (or removed by seller!). Any idea what was in there so I can get a replacement? Probably 6 speakers in boat and 2 on tower.

    Thanks

Amp was most likely the Kicker ZX700.5 which is a 5 channel amp. Does it still have the original Kicker 10" Sub? If so, you can upgrade to a newer Kicker 5 channel like the KX800.5 or KXM 800.5 (Marine version) or a host of other 5/6 channel amps.

      Thanks Timmy

I will do the research. Probably get a kicker anyway to match. Any idea on replacement grills?

With 6 in-boat speakers and 2 on the tower, you are better off going with 2 amps, one for the tower and one for the in-boats.

If the boat has a subwoofer, then I like the Kicker KXM800.5 as Tim pointed to. If there is no subwoofer, then go with something like the KXM400.4 For the tower, I would suggest the Kicker KXM400.2

If they are the factory speakers, they are the Kicker KS series 6" components. They have long been updated, so it would be a longshot that a replacement grill would be available.

          chpthril,

I have a similar setup....looks like the boat has a ZX700.5 powering my entire system. I have 4 speakers + sub in the boat and I have an older set of Pro60's on the tower.

Would you recommend picking up a KXM400.2 for the tower or would there be a wetsounds amp that would power their own subs that would fit better?

I would absolutely suggest getting those tower speakers on their own amp. Right now, they are only receiving 70W rms, which is less then half the wattage I would like to see them get.

I would go with the Kicker KXM400.4. It will drive them @ 200W ro each. Best bang for the buck. Keep the zx700.5 for the in-boats and sub. Its going to deliver 420W rms for the sub, which is spot on, and 70W rms for the 4 in-boats when you move a pair to the now vacant chnls.
