Hate to tell you, but there are plenty of componants on an amp's PCB that can blow long before those fuses would.

Well known (and proven!) variation on Murphy's Law: "A hundred dollar component will protect a ten cent fuse by blowing first."

dont sweat it chris. Charge both batteries up and try again. When you get time, lets relocate that amp power cable from the battery to the correct post on the switch and ALL loads can be disconnected from both batteries when the switch is off.

Where is the post located on a '13 Z1 for the amp power cables? I have two amps both hooked up to one of my two batteries. Apparently this is the correct way of having it wired. What is the right way so I can relocate?

On the back of the main battery switch, there are two #1 and two #2 posts. 1a and 1b would be for the main cranking battery, boat and engine systems and 2a and 2b for all the hose loads and house battery. Batteries on the "a" posts and the batteries on the "b" posts. OFF and all loads are disconnected from their respective batteries, ON and the loads are connected to their respective batteries and COMBINE connects the two banks.
