I went out to my boat today and opened my port locker and all 3 of my amps were sitting there flashing repeatedly. The head unit wasn't even on so I don't understand why they were flashing trouble codes. I turned the head unit on and they were still flashing. I finally cut the power and they continued to flash for another ten seconds or so then finally shut off. Restored the power and now I have nothing. I pulled the amp cover off of one and the 4 30 amp fuses were not blown. I traced the o gauge wire from the batteries to amp block and they seem in good shape. The amps are 2 SD 6's and 1 SD2. I looked up the code in Wetsounds manual and it said short / dc output protection. I need some help figuring out my problem. A week from now I will be at Lake of the ozarks and would like to have it up and running. If anyone has had a similar problem I would appreciate it if you weigh in.thanks in advance.

Do you have a master battery switch that disconnects power to the amp?
Did the amps never power up?
How long after turning on the head-unit, did you wait before powering down the system?
Reason I ask is because there is a firmware in the SD amps that makes it flash a code when power is restored but it has not yet been triggered on by the head-unit. I had a pair of SD-6's last month that did this and it was the first I had seen. Had me puzzled so i called. Once the head-unit was turned on, they powered up as normal. Turn off and back on, all was normal, but if you turned master battery switch off, the cycle of flashing the code, would repeat.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I don't have a master switch. I just disconnected the positive from the batteries. The amps never powered up at all after restoring power, not even the trouble code. I have left the head unit on for several minutes before turning off several different times. I have never had all my amps go into some sort of protection at the same time. I am truly puzzled. Hopefully they are not fried. To damn expensive for new ones. I have fuses in the distribution block for each amp and the fuses that come on the amp. Surely those would have fried first. I would hate to but I may have to pull them out and investigate further.

Your 2013 Z1 doesnt have a battery switch? Before ripping anything out, check the battery voltage. Hate to tell you, but there are plenty of componants on an amp's PCB that can blow long before those fuses would.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Battery voltage is 12.4. It does have the dual battery switch, but I didn't think turning it off would cut power to the amps, the 0 gauge is wired directly from the batteries to the amp block. It worked perfectly fine last Sunday at the lake. For my sake I hope they are not fried. I can't remember what they cost but I know it wasn't cheap

The OEM Dual Circuit Plus switch will disconnect the amps from the battery when wired correctly.
Was that the voltage a the amps across their POS and GND terminals? Did you check the voltage at the turn-on terminal also?Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Well chp I most certainly feel like a douche now. On tige touch it said my batteries had 12.4 volts. Hooked up the charger and it said 8.9. That obviously is not enough power for an amp to turn on. I must have left something on last Sunday and didn't realize it. I'm sure they will be fine now. Now I wish this thread would go away before I get made fun of.

dont sweat it chris. Charge both batteries up and try again. When you get time, lets relocate that amp power cable from the battery to the correct post on the switch and ALL loads can be disconnected from both batteries when the switch is off.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

On my 2014 with the two amps and tower speakers I found if I run the strereo for an hour it will get real quiet like low volume then not stay powered on untill I restart the boat.
Will the battery drain that fast with just the stereo on?
I still have the intermittent engine popping and quiting issue also maybe related to voltage problem.
We were chasing fuel system problems.
Going back in Monday!!!!!
