JKeps 05 22V Getting a Wet Sounds and Kicker Makeover

Keeping the existing head-unit and remotes, but made a trim piece to make the Sony fit better where the Clarion was.

Upgraded from the Wet Sounds Double-Up to a single pair of Rev-10 powered by a Wet Sounds HT-4

The OEM Kicker CVR10 is staying put for now, and will be powered by a new Kicker CX300.1 JK replaced the original in-boats last year, with Kicker KM62502 components. Those 3 pair will be powered by a Wet Sounds HT-6

More pics as we get it all wrapped up.

Mike, did you replace with existing head unit with the Sony? Will the clarion remotes still work?

JK swapped out his Clarion for the Sony awhile back, i just dressed it up while I was in there. he also installed 2 new Sony remotes in place of the original Clarion remotes. No, they are not compatible. Clarion uses a multi-pin data cable, where as Sony uses what called "steering wheel" controls. Basically, its a 3.5MM jack. Each function of the remote has a different ohm value. The head-unit interprets the vulue and generates the response.

That makes sense. I would like to replace my Clarion head unit but it gets expensive with the head-unit and remotes.
