    Sickest stereo in a R20?

I'm contemplating buying a 2014 R20 & was wondering what's the gnarliest stereos that can fit in her? Post pics if you have them! Thanks

How thick is your wallet? I mean that partly as a joke, but, an over the top system should and will be expensive, but on the flip side, the cost of the gear doesnt necessarily dictate results. The most complex part of that system is going to be the sub.

Look for HoustonShark's stereo build. He did JL 7.7's, Wetsounds Sinister amps and a WS XXX V2 12.

Well I was going to do the stereo myself so at least I'll save a little on labor. I was thinking of a kicker install...
            (2) Kicker KXM 800.5
            (2) Kicker KXM 400.2
            (4) Kicker KM10
            (1) Kicker L7 8"
            (2) Kicker 6.5 RGB Coaxial Pairs (Or keep stock WetSounds)
            (1) Kicker 6500.2 Horn Set
            (1) Kicker 6500 Pair
            (3) Single 6.5 Can Pairs "6Pack"
            (1) Kicker ZXMRLC

The reason I was going with (2) KXM 400.2's is that's what Kicker recommended.

Ideally I would want another 800.5 that way I would get the bass control knob. Then I can build a custom dash panel for the two zones of audio & three sub channels. The one problem is it can only push 50watts @ a 4ohm load.

            Any suggestions?

Chpthril, Mike, is the man to talk to for Kicker components! The KX series amps put out a ton of power, I have the KX1200.1 running the 12" L7 and it slams pretty hard.

I would the Wet Sounds XS-650 in-boats. If you want LEDs, consider the XS-650 rings behind them.

Are you looking for a wake-range setup or a surf/party cove setup? Consider the new KM8 for a surf/part cove setup. 2 pair on the tower driven with twin KXM400.4 = 200W rms to each speaker

I dont see an amp for the L78, but honestly, I have to question the 4 KM10's and L7 8".

For the KM6500.2 ( now the KMT67) Six-pack, a single KXM400.2 would drive it at 200W rms to each side. Twin KXM400.2's would be the same wattage to each, but with the cost of a 2nd amp, cabling etc. IMO, I would drive the 6-Pack with a pair of KXM 400.4's. Each bridged into 2 chnl mode for 200W rms to each pod.

I would all my subs working in unison, IMO. To do this, get 2 ZXM-RLC's and just use one controller from the 2nd. This gives you 3 independent zones: tower, in-boats and all subs.

But again, I have to question the plan for the 4 KM10's and single L78. What amp for the L7 and where are all these going? You may find a single 12 or 15 with 1K+ watts more effective and less of an investment. Im not totally opposed to multiple subs, but its tough to pull off for a few reasons. tell me more about your plan.

I appreciate the comments. This was my reason...

My wife originally wanted the Yamaha 212X cause it's a perfect all around Family boat. Problem is I'm getting old and I'm not gonna want to keep falling every time I try a new trick wake boarding haha. I want to get into surfing & after you advance past beginner, it's going to be pretty hard to do that behind a jet boat.

Anyways I was planning a stereo for that boat.

I was planning on building a custom fiberglass sealed sub box in the passenger side rear seat. I was then planning on putting the 8" L7 or a 15" Comp in the cabin storage (wouldn't fit under the helm).

                    (1) 800.5 powering two subs & the four boat speakers.
                    (1) 800.5 bridged powering the 6500.2 set & two subs.
                    (1) 400.2 bridged powering the 6500 on tower.
                    (1) 400.2 bridged power the L7
The yamaha also came stock with 4" speakers on the swim step that I was gonna replace w/ the new Kicker 4" & power from the head unit.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting one nice 800 watt dual voice coil sub & powering each coil from each 800.5. But I like a lot of bass....I want to slay some fish, but my wife doesn't want to hear it all the time so I would like to control it.

I also don't want to be boarding & have the boat speakers blaring so I can hear the speakers. That's why I want to have the boat zone & tower zone.

                      Or I could swap out the 400.2 & L78 for a 400.4 & L712

Speaking of sickest stereo, Here are some pics of an install of some Treo brand subs in a buddies G25. There are only 2 of these subs and they out pound my 4-12" kicker subs. It sounds like fricking thunder striking when they hit!! That loud!! They are custom built by a company out of dallas tx area i believe for around $2500 can get more info if anyone interested.

A quality install will also be necessary along with the quality components.

Chpthrill also carries WetSounds, if you are anywhere near him on the East Coast, go see him!

If you are anywhere on the Left Coast, go see Dennis at Liquid Trends, he works out of the Tige dealer (California Marine Sports) in Fairfield/Suisun City CA.

                            In Texas, Earmark.

But on an RZ, you can easily fit two - 12" subs under the helm, four tower mounted speakers of your choice, (I have Icons and LOVE them) and then a whole bunch of in-boats. Then just add a bunch of clean power and you are done. And make sure your installer knows how to tune your system!

I may not have a r20 but my stereo is sick in my 22v:
                              2x 15" FI BTL'S (1 in each rear locker) pushed by a sundown saz3500 at 1ohm
8 focal poly v1's for interiors pushed by the kicker kx 350.4 and a concept amp
4 custom Waves and Wheels tower speakers pushed by Gladen xl250c4 (4x 370watts @2ohm)
All running off a couple XSPower D3100's (4 batts total in boat).
