So I'm the relatively new owner of a '95 2002 fslm that I picked up in January. Now that it's almost time to hit the water, I need to start thinking about the tunes. I'm going to add Sirius to the boat, as I can't seem to live without '70s on 7. That being said, without a tower on the boat (perhaps later this summer, for right now I'll just use the AirBoom pylon for wakeboarding - I'm really a skier), any suggestions on where/how to mount the antenna?

Im not sure how you could mount one on a tower without drilling an extremely large hole on the bottom side in order to install the nut and insert the socket to tighten it. Mount it on the deck, just in front of the windshield where its flat. Mount it on the same side as the receiver makes it much simpler.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

the antenna should just be a small box that you can mount anywhere outside and should hold to the surface pad magnetically...on my fslm i had it just in front of the windshield on the port side...worked great! i cant remember bit i think i ran the wire down the vent into the hull, no issues.

Since gel-coat and fiber glass are not very magnetic most marine SAT antennas are surface mount units with a gasket, stud and nut from the bottom. My preference is the Shakespeare SRA-25Attached FilesMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
