    Z3 Stereo Install advice

So My z3 is finnaly here. I have a ws420sq to put in, and I"m doing a sub and box, in place of the free air. I would love to see some pics of z3's where people have put the eq, and sub boxes.

Also any idea what length RCA's I need to run from driver side to amps.

17ft is close, but 20ft will give you a little more cushion to mount the EQ where you want.

The under helm space is still the best for a sub. Since the Z3 under the helm is so much like any other late model Tige, dont limit your search for pics to just the Z3.

ok I Was going to put the sub under the helm.

I was also going to buy those bundles RCA's that wet sounds sells, instead of running individual ones. They come in 15 ft and 21 feet. 5m and 7m. So I should get the 7m length then?

Yes, I would go with the 7M just give you some wiggle room to neatly route and tie up the cables.

On my z1 we ran the cables from the helm across to the port locker instead of going around the bow. Once you take the false wall down under the helm there is a hole you can go through and also there will be a hole in the port locker where your ballast hose runs. It was pretty easy to get them across. You wouldn't have to have but maybe 10 ft of cable

I planned on running mine through that hole. So I only need like 10ft??

I can double check with my Wetsounds dealer on the length we needed. But it is tucked away nicely out of sight and they weren't real long. Mine is mounted on the bottom left of the steering wheel under the dash. You will also have to build some brackets to mount it. I took a picture of it earlier for u but it was dark outside so not the best quality but I will post it anyway. Those wet wire cables get pretty expensive the longer you go so I would definitely get the shortest that will work efficiently.

Ya if you could get for me that would be awesome. They come in 7m and 5m which I think is 21ft and 15 ft. Also the pic would be awesome of the mount you made.

The price difference between the 5m and 7m isn't large enough to justify getting the 5. CHP is right you should get the longer. We used the 7m on my boat. But we did have 7-8 ft of slack. But being that yours is a z3 vs my z1 I honestly don't know the differences. You may have to route yours a little differently. While the beam is the same on the boat. There may be other differences inside im not considering. Good Luck

Should be exactly the same I think. 7-8 feet extra is a lot!! There is a five feet difference in the 2. I think 25 buck difference?? It looks like yours is just bolted to the bottom of the dash

Wetsounds XS-12 in a 1.2 cubic foot box. Had to move all the computer/electronics up on the helm plate by about 2 ½". The box is only 3" farther out than the original sub wall.

Do you have any Dimensions on your box?

How did you move the electronics up?
