    Remote turn on wire

    Hi Guys,
I need to ask for some help on remote turn-on for stereo.
    Here my set-up

No deck, just Ipod and Sat radio,
    WS 420 at drivers helm,
3 Wet Sounds amp in port locker,

I was planning to have a power wire from battery source to driver helm, (switched at helm). From that on-off switch connect up power to WS 420, ipod harness, sat radio, and run a power wire to a port side relay and then run 3 power wires from that relay to the remote turn-on lead on amps.

Can I do it this way or do I need to use the orange remote wire from the back of the WS-420 running to the relay then to the 3 remote turn for amps?....or does it matter?

    Thanks

The orange turn on wire for the WS 420 is an input not an output. No need for a relay at the amps with your plan. Just be sure the circuit is fused.

Can the orange and the red be connected to together to switched power, or should the red be constant? Thkx

The WS-420's red and black wire need to share the same battery source as the amps. This is crucial for sound quality. If you wired the red and orange together to a constant B+, then the WS-420 would be on all the time. If you switched both the red and orange, along with the amps' turn-on wire, you may end up with some turn-on/turn-off pop. I would wire the WS-420 red to B+ and switch the orange turn-on along with the amp.
