Has anyone ran sinister amps yet?

I just bought 2sd-6's and 1 sd-2. I'm swapping tower speakers from 4 rev 8's to a 410 1 set of rev 10's and 1 set of rev 8's. I'm just curious if anyone has ran the sinister series because apparently its about to snow 2-3 ft here where i live and i wont be able to get new system installed for a while, so just wanting to hear from someone that has already installed them. Do you like them? is the performance really that much better from the syn series? Is there a downside to sinister series? Thanks in advance to anyone that answers

    Chris,

Can I ask why you will be retaining a single set of Rev-8? With 4 10" drivers and 3 horns with the pair of Rev-10 and Rev-410, the Rev-8 is going to be a whisper on a scream. Their contribution will be inaudible. IMO, it will not be worth the battery power consumption to drive them. Just a thought.

In RE to the SD series. They are a phenomenal amp with many advantages. Full-range Class-D, so they will be quite a bit more efficient then the Class-G/H Syn series. Smaller footprint, all connection on same side, top mounted covered adjustments, all share the same chassis for easy layout. Far more power then their Syn counterpart.

I was gonna run 2 sets of rev 10's but it doesnt seem there is gonna be enough room. I ordered swivel clamps so I was thinking about facing them towards the bow. But who knows I can always swap them out. Another reason is I havent heard the rev 10 yet. Although im sure its gonna be an amazing speaker, I ran the rev 8's last year and know what to expect from them. Whats your opinion on the XXX-V2, I ordered one of them as well. I'm gonna drive it with the sd-2

facing forward definitely changes the dynamics. How are they going to be powered?

The amount of mid-bass improvement you will see is going to be off the hook, going from 4 rev-8 to a pair of re-v10 and a 410. The SD-6 is the absolute optimal single amp to drive it. im gonna upgrade my Rev-10/Rev410 setup from a Syn-4/Syn2 combo to a single SD-6 as soon as a find a good home for those 2 amp.

I have not personally heard the V2 yet, but from talking with others, it seems to be more SQ then the original XXX. In a ported enclosure, it will absolutely rock on the SD-2.

I still have a syn-4 leftover from my system from last year. They will power the rev 8's if i keep them. sd-6 will power 410 and rev 10's. sd-2 will power the xxx v-2. And my remaining sd-6 will power 6 xs650's. I'm really excited about the system this year.Should be a bangin stereo.

Just finished installing our Sinister 6 for the tower. 585 W to each Pro485 and 185 W to each Pro80.

This amp is really expensive but delivers all the power in a tiny footprint. So far very happy with it.
