That 2 chnl amp could run a 4 ohm SVC or 2 ohm DVC wired in series as it does have a low-pass option. its output @ 2 ohm bridged as a little over 700 watts. This amp is a class-A/B, so it will consume about 50% more battery power them a Class-D mono sub amp, or other hi-efficient full-range 2-chnl, putting out the same or more power to the driver. At a $700.00 retail price, there are quite a few better choices:
Kicker IX1000.1 $599
Kicker ZX750.1 $399
Kicker DX1000.1 $349
Kicker CX1200.1 $349
Kicker KX800.1 429
Wet Sounds Syn-2 $569
Wet sounds HT-1 or HT-2 $400/$430
Arc XD-1000.1 $380
Arc KS300.2 $399
Arc KS1200.1 $699
JL HD750/1 $699
JL JX1000/1D $449
Exile Xi1500.1 $700 retail, but I know where an new one is for far less.

Real world power as tested by an independent lab, acoording to CEA2006 standards,
for the Exile Harpoon is 740 watts RMS. So it will produce 740 watts bridged into a 4-ohm load (series dual 2-ohm VCs).
The real world power for an Exile xi1500.1 is 1250 watts at 1-ohm and 500 watts at 4-ohms. So in this case you would parallel the VCs for a 1-ohm load and 1250 watts. Plus the xi1500.1 is Class D and will be more efficient.

I have an SXX D2 12" sub in my boat. It is powered by this amp and absolutely SLAMS!!! It handles all 1400w the amp is rated for with absolutely no issues. Wire it up to see a 1ohm load and you will be a very happy customer. I have mine in a 2 cu ft box tuned to 33hz like suggested on the RE site.
