    My New Stereo

Well after alot of thinking and debating with my inner sole, I have decided not to cheap out too much and do it right the first time around. Here is a list of my new stereo. I should be able to get this ordered by the end of the week. Now all I need is some heated storage so I can get started !!

1 Pr Wet Sounds Rev 10's
    1 Sync 4

    8 Kickers 11km6200 6.5" speakers,
2 bow, 2 dash, 4 main cabin area
2 ARC XDI 804 amps (1 for bow & dash, 1 for 4 cabin speakers)

    Tentatively
Wet Sounds XS-12 Sub with ported box
    ARC XDI 1000

I'm thinking 3 27 series deep cycle with a Pro Sport 3 bank charger.

I think I will also be looking at some LED light rings.

Sounds like a good plan and will sound even better in the boat or out at 75ft.

Just wondering what you guys think of a SW-420 4 Band Parametric Equalizer with 2 Zone Operation??

Does anyone have one of these? Do you use it? or just another toy to spend money on??

          Thanks

You definately got it all thought out. Should be awesome The ws420 is a must IMO Being able to control the sound of your whole system at your fingertips is the best Easy install and very cool. I'd definately get one now so you dont have to run the rcas around the bow and piddle switching them out later because thats what I did
            Ain't no 1/2 steppin'

                  Dave,

You could get away with a single 4 ch amp for the in boats. That Arc does 80x4 at 4 ohms and 120x4 at 2 ohms so netting 60 per speaker to all 8 speakers.

If you run one 4 ch. Only thing you would be not being able to gain the bow or dash separately. So not sure if this is why you were thinking to run 2 amps. Maybe you were trying to gain the bow down and the dash down. If not, run one 4 ch.

Bow/dash in parallel together and rear cabin 2 pairs together. Might even be able to jump to a larger 4 ch versus cost of two smaller 4 ch.

If you were planning on just needing to gain the dash different. You could run one 4 ch to the bow and the cabin and get a micro sized 2 ch just for the dash.

Or you could get a 6 ch amp and run all the in boats on one amp and still have the ability to gain them separate. You could do bow on it's own, dash on it's own and cabin parallel together. allowing you to gain each area on it's own.

Personally i would run a 6 ch like this as I like having dash speakers gained down a lot. And I like having the bow down a bit giving people a place to go sit if they have had too much.

What I need to accomoplish is have the 2 bow speakers on a fader or something where I can turn them down while not reduce sound level from the main cabin, My wife is quite senstive to loud noise and she OWNS the bow!!

I am going to make a new post with a master wiring plan so if yo wouldn't mind taking a look at that I would appreciate it.

I dont want to start doubting myself nor do I want to redo my plan but the Exile ZLD seems to be getting alot of GOOD attention and accolades on another forum? Is it a good product. Is it a good replacment for the ws-420 if your not set on a pa system?

                        Dave,

Theres is not much more that can be covered in terms of what the WS-420 will do you and what a traditional automotive EQ will do for you in terms of features and function. If "Fade" and a single EQ will fit the bill for your system, look around, they can be had for under $100.00.

So if I had a 6 channel I would wire together bows and dash on 2 channels and the 4 main cabin speakers on 4 channels??

In your case, you would want the bow pair wired to two chnl. Then the dash pair would be on their own 2 chnls and the 4 main cabin pair will occupy the remaining 2 chnls.

                              Dave,
You really can't mention the Wetsounds WS-420 and the Exile ZLD EQs in the same breath.
Feature wise, the Exile is stripped down. The Wetsounds is loaded.
Build quality wise, the Exile cannot compare to the Wetsounds.
The Wetsounds EQ was designed specifically for a wakeboat owner. The Exile borrows a 20 year old automotive EQ platform.
