someone locally is selling their Black Wet Sounds Double Up (Pro 60 + MB-8) for $700. Is that a good deal. What kind of amp would be needed to drive these?

If they look good and perform good, then yes, Id say $700 is a fair price. Retail was about $1600.
I would suggest supplying anywhere between 125-200 watts rms to each speaker, if not a little more. I would also recommend not going with a 2 chnl. I prefer to to tune the MB-8 and Pro-6 independently of each other, so dual amps or a 4 chnl is needed.
