Decisions- four Rev 10's or ?

Okay doing the upgrade from my beloved double up setup ( Pro 60 / M8 combo)

    Alpha Z tower RZ2...

4 Rev 10's or should I do 2 Rev 10's and 2 Rev 8's to have the same look and feel of my current set up.

If I go with the four 10's I will bridge my Hertz HP4 ( see attachment) and if I stay 2+2 I will stay with current config... ( 4 X 130)

opinions and suggestions wanted... have to know by Tuesday.

    * Specs of the HP4 taken from the Hertz www... everyone says the amp is underrated from the factory..

130W rms is no where near enough for a Rev10. The only way to bridge this amp into 2 chnl mode with 4 speakers is to wire each pair in series for an 8 ohm load. When doing this, your net watts to each speaker is the sam as running 4 chnl mode with a 4 ohm load on each chnl. You will need a 2nd amp to run 2 pair, or swap that amp for a 2 chnl.

Now, running a single pair on that amp would be 440W rms to each. This is spot on. You may just find that that get'r done! So you may not need a 2nd pair of anything unless you want to roll with 4 pods and be off the hook

You would be wasting your money buying 4 Rev 10s and only giving them 130w a piece. You would still be wasting your money if you buy a pair of Rev 10s and a pair of Rev 8s and only give them 130w a piece. The Rev 8s will handle 400w a piece as will the Rev 10s. I know Wicked is giving his Rev 10s 500weach and he loves that setup. My brother has Rev 8s with a syn 4 and I have 2 sets of Rev10s each on a syn 4. They need power!

Im doubling up the tower amps.. Still have to decide to go 8&10 or 10&10. Either way, they will be seeing over 400 watts a piece.
          Can't wait..

There is no acoustical advantage to mixing 8's and 10's. So if headroom is not an issue and the cost difference between the Rev8 and Rev10 is not a hurdle, then go with two pair of Rev10.

2 pairs of Rev 10's is annoyingly loud! Bruizza cranked his all day Saturday 300'+ away and it was hard to talk to people because it's so loud.

Retuning it with that SMD distortion detector earlier in the day really helped!
