What is the best AMP and setup for ICON 8's?

I am getting to add a pair of Wetsounds Icon 8's to my tower and am looking for advice on the best amp to drive them?

Also would the be better run in stereo, mono, parallel, bridged, etc. How would you recommend setting up the amp and wiring for the amp you suggest above?

    Thanks for the help!

There are soo many 2 and 4 chnl amp options out there, that there would be no need to run them in parallel on a mono amp.

In the Wet Sounds stable, the HT-2 or the Syn-2 would be perfect choices. Both these options would allow for the addition of a 2nd pair later. You would be wiring each Icon to its own chnl, so they would be running stereo when the amp is connected with a stereo RCA cable pair.

I have a pair of Icon 8's running off of a Syn 2, and they sound amazing!! Plus, if I want to add a second pair in the future, I have room to expand with the Syn 2.

Syn 2 sounds like the winner, what gauge wire should I pull through the tower?

14ga is perfect for one pair. If you even think you may add a 2nd pair later, then go ahead and pull two 2 conductor 12ga. This will allow you simply parallel the 2nd pair at the top of the tower and you're done!

4ga cabling and 60A for your circuit protection to power the amp.

Do you mean 4ga from the battery for amp power?

I was planing to take your advice and run power and ground from the new house batt I plan to add to the port locker, then use bus bars to split power to the head unit, amp 1, amp 2, amp 3 (future sub add project), and to pull power and ground to the new stereo switch on the dash for turn on so all stereo loads are on the house battery via the dedicated circuit in the port locker. I was planing to reach out to you on Friday regarding this to see if you could set up with what I need.
